Quotes

One of the fondest memories of my Granddad Nelson was trading quotes regularly over email. Sadly I lost the email archive when I went on my mission, but it has continued to be an interest of mine. I hope you enjoy my collection of quotes. A bit of everything from religion to politics to leadership.

Everyone is an expert until expertise is required. If you don't know, say so. If you want to know, ask. Nothing makes you look worse than pretending to know something you know nothing about.

Tomorrow don’t take care of itself. You got to take care today of tomorrow.

You don’t find time. You make time

Bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid.

We may give without loving, but we cannot love without giving.

Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends, and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls - family, health, friends, integrity - are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life.

Don't take criticism from people you would never go to for advice.
